Handwritten Letter API

The Handwritten Letter API provides an abstraction layer that enables the developer to create, read, and edit handwritten letters. It supports different handwriting styles and consists of three endpoints: create, update, and delete Address objects. In addition, it supports the creation of new Letter Templates. Each of these methods provides different parameters that allow developers to customize the handwritten letter API to meet their specific requirements.

To get started, you'll need an account with Addressable and an API key. Both of these can be obtained from the FAQ section. The process is simple and straightforward. Then, you'll need to set up the address parser fields for webhooks and emails. Once you're done, you'll be able to select the recipient's address in the drop-down menu.

You'll also need to implement the logic for creating the first point. This logic should be implemented in a separate method, and should be based on a reference timestamp. It's crucial to consider temporal information because it can improve the recognition quality. For example, if the stroke started at a specific time, you'll want to include it in the addPoint() method. This method will also read the X and Y coordinates from a pointer event.

A handwritten letter can increase a brand's response rate by 30 to 50%, which is higher than that of other mail. This approach sets your brand apart from the competition, which increases customer loyalty. A handwritten letter also makes the mailer stand out in the mail stack.
